How the Products Are Used

Setting a device up correctly is half the training value you will get from it. Below are the basic steps for installing, using and maintaining both products.

EndoPro — setup and use

Fitting the tooth

Each socket is opened 0.2–0.5 mm narrower than the tooth’s cervical crown and tapered 4–7°. The tooth seats by friction fit; no adhesive is needed. Press the tooth in parallel to its axis — do not force it sideways.

Apex locator connection

The water-based conductive medium beneath the socket mimics the periodontal ligament. Connect the apex locator’s lip electrode to the connector on the module; the reading works through a closed circuit, just as it does in a patient.

Refreshing the conductive medium

The medium can dry out over time. If the reading becomes unstable, open the module and refresh the medium; this is routine maintenance and does not require replacing the device.

Serviceable layers

EndoPro is built from five separately serviceable layers. A worn layer is replaced on its own; you do not have to renew the whole jaw. The module volume is under 80 × 60 × 40 mm, so it fits existing phantom setups.

Calvarion — setup and use

Changing a cassette

Cassettes change quickly and are keyed with an asymmetric geometry that prevents incorrect fitting. If a cassette does not seat fully, do not force it; check its orientation.

Condylar path cartridges

Condylar rotation and translation are set with interchangeable cartridges: steep or shallow eminence, hypermobility, Class II · III and TMJ pathology scenarios. To change a cartridge you only need to loosen the jaw mount.

Occlusion adjustment

Overjet, overbite, vertical dimension and midline adjust on detented mm scales. The detents give repeatability: you can reproduce exactly the same setting in the next session.

Radiography

Calvarion is radiography- and apex-ready, and is compatible with CBCT and film. Noting the position of the metal inserts before imaging makes the artefact easier to interpret.
