Why this exists
Endodontics is still taught through plastic teeth and theory. Students graduate with no reference for what a real root canal actually feels like; they learn their first real case on a patient.
RaVen exists to change that. Real teeth, real files, real apex feedback — on the bench, not in the patient chair.
What we do
RaVen CTS designs and manufactures clinical simulation hardware for dental education. We are starting with two product lines.
EndoPro
A modular endodontic jaw that accepts real or extracted teeth and connects to an apex locator. Each socket is opened 0.2–0.5 mm narrower than the tooth’s cervical crown and tapered 4–7°; a water-based conductive medium beneath the socket mimics the periodontal ligament. Anterior, premolar and molar segments; five separately serviceable layers.
Calvarion
Modular phantom head. Condylar rotation and translation, interchangeable condylar path cartridges, occlusion adjustment on detented mm scales and fast-change cassettes. Radiography- and apex-ready; CBCT and film compatible. Levels I–IV, restorative through endodontics.
How we work
Serviceability
The worn part is replaced, not the device. All five of EndoPro’s layers are separately serviceable; Calvarion’s cassettes and condylar cartridges are user-replaceable. In a training lab the real cost is not the purchase — it is the replacement over the years.
Evidence
We base our product claims on published literature, not on a signature.
Fundamentals with no paywall
Our entry-level content is free. You do not have to buy anything from us to learn the fundamentals.
In-house
Design, manufacturing and service all run in-house. There is no intermediary, so you do not join a queue to have a part replaced.
